Risk Management

Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. adheres to a thoughtful and rigorous Risk Management Manual which is applicable to all sorority entities and all levels of sorority membership. This manual provides provisions that include, but are not limited to, alcohol and drug abuse, hazing, sexual abuse, and harassment. This set of policies intends to not only protect the well-being of members but also the broader community in which our members work, live, and serve.

 

Anti-Hazing

No chapter, interest group, member or prospective member of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. shall conduct nor condone hazing activities as defined of any action taken or situation created, intentionally, whether on or off fraternity premises, to produce or that causes mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule. Such activities may include but are not limited to the following: use of alcohol; paddling in any form; creation of excessive fatigue; physical and psychological shocks; quests, treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, road trips or any other such activities carried out in any public/private space; kidnappings, whether by prospective members, associate/new members or active members; wearing of public apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste; engaging in public stunts and buffoonery; morally degrading or humiliating games and activities; and any other such activities that are not consistent with academic achievement, fraternal law, ritual or policy, or the regulations and policies of the educational institution, or applicable state/federal law.
